Prof. Yang Yue

Xi'an Jiaotong University, China

Profile: Yang Yue obtained his B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering and optics from Nankai University, China, in 2004 and 2007, respectively. He subsequently earned his Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Southern California, USA, in 2012. Currently, he holds the position of Professor at the School of Information and Communications Engineering, Xi'an Jiaotong University, China. Dr. Yue’s primary research focus lies in the field of intelligent photonics, encompassing optical communications, optical perception, and optical chip technology. His academic contributions are extensive, having authored over 260 journal articles (including Science) and conference proceedings, which have collectively garnered over 10,000 citations. Additionally, he has edited six books, contributed two book chapters, and has held over 60 patents (including some are still pending approval). Dr. Yue has also delivered over 200 invited presentations, including one tutorial, more than 30 plenary talks, and over 50 keynote speeches.

Professionally, Dr. Yue is recognized as a Fellow of SPIE, a Senior Member of IEEE, and Optica. He serves as an Associate Editor for IEEE Access and Frontiers in Physics and is a member of the Editorial Board for four other scientific journals. He has also been a Guest Editor for over 10 special issues of various journals. Furthermore, Dr. Yue has been involved in numerous international conferences, having served as the chair or committee member for more than 100 events. Additionally, he has served as a reviewer for over 70 prestigious journals.

Prof. Lei Zhang

Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, China

Profile: Lei Zhang is a full-time professor at the Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology (NUIST). He obtained his PhD degree in Natural Science (Physics) from Cavendish Laboratory, University of Cambridge. Prior to this, he received his MSc in Composite Materials from Imperial College London. His research interests include materials informatics, photovoltaic materials and computational materials science. He is focusing on the development and application of data-driven and AI methods (e.g., machine learning, natural language processing, genetic algorithm, image recognition, high-throughput DFT calculation and data mining) combined with first-principles calculations to predict and understand new functional materials such as phovoltaic materials and beyond. He has published over 130 academic papers (more than 90 as first author or corresponding author in SCI journals). He holds 5 authorized national invention patents, with an H-index of 28 and over 3200 citations (highest citation > 800 times). He is listed in Stanford's "2023 Global Top 2% Scientists". He has received funding from National Natural Science Foundation, Jiangsu Provincial Natural Science Foundation, and the Nanjing Outstanding Returnees Program. He has refereed papers from journals like Nat. Mater., Nat. Commun., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Adv. Mater., and is in the editorial board for journals like J. Mater. Inf. and CMC-Comput. Mater. Con.

Prof. Bo Dong

Shenzhen Technology University, China

Profile: Bo Dong, Male, a distinguished professor at Shenzhen Technology University, a member of the First Action Hundred Talents Program B of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Peacock Program B of Shenzhen City, an expert in the evaluation of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, and a technical expert in the National Key R&D Program. Received a Ph.D. in Optics from Nankai University and the second Ph.D. in Electronic and Computer Engineering from the National University of Singapore. Previously served as a postdoctoral fellow at Laurier University in Canada and a scientist at the A * STAR Institute for InfoComm Research in Singapore. Led and participated multiple cooperation projects with Canadian NRSERC, Singapore NRF, China 863, National Natural Science Foundation of China, Guangdong Province, Chinese Academy of Sciences, as well as European Airbus, Singapore ST, Singapore SMRT, and other enterprises. Achieved a series of innovative results in new photonic integrated devices and applications, as well as optoelectronic detection. Published over 100 papers in internationally renowned optoelectronic journals, applied for 21 patents, and granted 10 patents. One project achievements won the 2013 ASEAN Outstanding Engineering Achievement Award and the Singapore Outstanding Engineering Achievement Award. Invited to give invitation speeches at over 10 international conferences, serving as chairpersons and technical committee members for over 10 international conference branches. Previously served as the Topical Editor for Applied Optics, a renowned optoelectronic journal under Optica, and as an editorial board member for Structural Monitoring and Maintenance, a journal under KAIST.

Prof. Dr. Osman Adiguzel

Firat University, Elazig,Turkey

Profile: Dr. Osman Adiguzel graduated from the Department of Physics at Ankara University, Turkey in 1974 and obtained his PhD degree from Dicle University in Diyarbakir, Turkey. He studied as a postdoctoral research scientist at Surrey University in Guildford, UK, from 1986 to 1987, with a focus on shape memory alloys. He worked as a research assistant at Dicle University from 1975 to 1980 and then transferred to Firat University in 1980. He was promoted to professor in 1996 and retired due to the age limit of 67 after a 45-year academic career. He has published over 80 papers in international and national journals and participated in over 120 conferences and symposia at both international and national levels, serving as Plenary Speaker, Keynote Speaker, Invited Speaker, Speaker, or Poster Presenter. He also served as the program chair or conference chair/co-chair for some of these events. Notably, in the last six years (2014 - 2019), he participated in over 60 conferences as Speaker, Keynote Speaker, and Conference Co-Chair, organized by various companies in different countries.
